Post University Announces New Dressage Team Coach and New Practice Site
WATERBURY, Conn. (June 17, 2009) – Post University announces the appointment of Jennifer Ford of Orange, Conn. as Coach for Post University’s Intercollegiate Dressage Team. The team will practice at Turning Point Farm in Woodbridge.
Coach Ford is not new to the Equine Program at Post University. She has worked in the equine office and is a member of the Equine Resources Committee.
"Jennifer is well-prepared to assume this role," says Equine Program Director Carole Baker. "Her experience provides a nice blend of teaching skills and competitive experience that will benefit the team in a number of ways."
Ford holds Teaching Certification from the University of New Hampshire, and is in the process of obtaining Associate Instructor Certification from the United States Dressage Federation. She has taught and competed in both Dressage and Eventing for nearly 20 years in the local area.
"I am very thankful to Post for appointing me as Coach for the IDA Team and I look forward to a great semester,” said Ford. “We have a great barn of horses and a fantastic group of riders, a combination that should make for a really fun and successful year."
Cynthia Parker, owner and manager of Turning Point Farm where the team will now practice, says she is thrilled to welcome Post’s Dressage Team.
"We are looking forward to building a great partnership with the students and horses," she says. "We hope the riders from Post will feel welcome here and will call Turning Point Farm their home away from home. We plan to provide the kind of support that these young riders need to keep up their training and remain competitive."
