Jarrett Michaels

Jarrett Michaels is in his second year as a Sports Information Assistant at Post, joining in August 2024. Before coming to Post, Michaels attended and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor's degree in Communications in May 2024.

In his first year with Post, Michaels quickly filled up his resume with numerous experiences both in the office and on game days with Vesci's team. Michaels worked with the team on Media Days to take photography and videography of athletes to be use for marketing purposes and in the office to update the bio pages for all current and incoming student-athletes. On game days from a statistical perspective, he trained on NCAA LiveStats Soccer, Basketball, and Hockey, while learning PrestoStats Baseball and Lacrosse in the spring as well. Upon learning the ins and outs of Post Athletic's live streaming production too, Michaels became one of the primary leaders on the team to train the department's Athletic Communications interns in both the fall and the spring, while also dabbling in graphic design for major milestone moments in the spring semester.

During his undergraduate years at UConn, Michaels was a member of the Women's Basketball practice squad. Prior to attending UConn, Michaels played four years of varsity football, basketball, and baseball at Nonnewaug High School. Growing up around athletics, Michaels is very passionate about breaking into the sports industry as part of joining the Athletic Communications team at Post.
