Women's Cross Country Opens Season At Caldwell

CALDWELL, N.J.-The Post University women's cross country team opened the 2007 season on Friday afternoon with a tri-meet against Caldwell College and Dominican College, on the Caldwell campus.

In its first meet of the 2007 campaign, the Eagles fell to the host Cougars by a 15-40 count, and lost 19-36 against Dominican, over the 5,000-meter course.

Quistara Letona crossed the finish line with a time of 23:15 to finish first on the team and 10th overall. Jamie Salvesen was second on the team and 12th overall with a time of 23:54, and Megan Oates rounded out the top three for the Eagles with a time of 24:15.

Jenna Salvesen traversed the course with a time of 26:19, and Amanda Prince recorded a 34:11.

Both the men's and women's cross country teams return to action on Thursday, Sept. 13 with a tri-meet with the University of Bridgeport and Caldwell College. The gun is slated to go off at 3:30 p.m.
