MIDDLEBURY, Conn.-Behind three runners in the top five, the Post University women's cross country team defeated Caldwell College 26-29 on a sunny Thursday afternoon at Hop Brook Lake Park.

Quistara Letona finished first overall for the Eagles, traversing the 3.1-mile course in 25:26. Caldwell's Jaclyn Feola finished second with a 25:52, and Shannon Coyle finished third with a 25:57.

Jamie Salvesen finished fourth overall for the Eagles with a 26:08, and her sister Jenna Salvesen recorded a 26:42 to finish fifth overall for the Eagles. Vanessa Lagares finished sixth overall with a time of 27:32.

The Post men's and women's cross country teams return to action a week from this afternoon, as they will host Bridgeport and Bloomfield in a tri-meet beginning at 3 p.m. at Hop Brook Lake Park.
