Shivers Notches A Pair Of Goals, As Women's Soccer Defeats Goldey-Beacom 3-1

WILMINGTON, Del.-Freshman Rachel Shivers had a pair of goals, to lead the Post University women's soccer team to a 3-1 win over Goldey-Beacom, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match Saturday afternoon on the road.

With the win, the Eagles improve to 2-9-1 overall and 2-3-1 in CACC play.

Shivers scored the first two goals of the afternoon, each coming off an assist from freshman Mallorie Machalak. Shivers now has six goals on the season, to go along with two assists for a team-high 14 points. Machalak now has two goals and three assists on the season for seven points.

Freshman Susan Curran recorded the third goal of the afternoon, off an assist from senior Liz Graveline. The goal was Curran's second of the season, as she now has five points on the season. Graveline's assist was the first of the season, as she now has three points for the Eagles.

Post returns to action on Tuesday afternoon, as it travels to American International for a non-conference match at 3:30 p.m.
