Women's SoccerWomen's Soccer Scores Three Unanswered Goals To Beat Caldwell, 3-2 October 18, 2007 CALDWELL, N.J.-Sophomore Sarah Beyers' first career goal proved to be the difference, as the Post University women's soccer team, scored three unanswered goals, coming from behind, to defeat Caldwell College, Thursday afternoon on the road. Beyers' tallied the game-winner for the Eagles (4-11-1, 4-4-1 CACC), after a cross on a corner kick bounced off several players, before the sophomore from Southbury, Conn. controlled the ball, in front of the Caldwell (4-12, 4-5 CACC) keeper and put it into the back of the net in the 97th minute of play. The Eagles trailed 2-0 at halftime, after Samantha Rinks scored in the 23rd minute off a throw-in from Morgan Frankenfield. The Cougars added another goal just before halftime in the 43rd minute, as Kristee Paknis scored at 42:29 off an assist from Frankenfield. Freshman Susan Curran put the Eagles on the board in the 60th minute of play, as she took a pass from freshman Rachel Shivers and firing a shot into the goal from six yards out. It was Curran's third goal this week and fifth of the season. On Tuesday, she scored twice, in the Eagles 3-0 win over Nyack College at LaMoy Field. Senior Maria Krug tied the game in the 66th minute, as Caldwell was called for a handball in its own penalty area, which resulted in a penalty kick for the Eagles. Krug converted the opportunity for her second goal of the season, and 16th over her career. The senior from Norwich, Conn. has tallied 40 points in her collegiate career. Both sides were unable to muster enough offense, and the match went into overtime, where Beyers' heroics helped solidify a spot in the CACC Championships for the Eagles. Junior Morgan Luschenat made two saves in the first half for the Eagles, and junior Stephanie Goss made one save. Caldwell out shot the Eagles 12-7, but Post held a 5-4 edge in the second half. The Eagles return to the pitch on Saturday afternoon, as they
