Storyline: The Post University women's soccer team takes on the University of Bridgeport in the semifinals of the ECAC Division II Women's Soccer Championships on Saturday morning ... Bridgeport is the number-one seed in the tournament, however the match will be played on the Eagles home field, due to construction on Bridgeport's field. Scouting the Eagles: Post is coming off a 2-0 win over St. Vincent's College on Thursday afternoon ... Freshman Kelli Veras scored twice for the Eagles, and was assisted on each goal, by freshman Kaitlyn Delaney ... Post has recorded nine shutouts this season, including five of the last six matches ... The Eagles are 7-1-3 at LaMoy Field this season, and has scored 20 goals, while allowing only eight ... Veras is leading the Eagles in scoring with seven goals and 11 assists for 25 points ... Junior Maria Krug is second on the team in scoring with nine goals and three assists for 21 points ... Delaney is third with eight goals and four assists for 20 points. Scouting Bridgeport: Bridgeport is 15-5-2 overall and finished the East Coast Conference with a 9-1-2 record, and fell in the ECC Championship 1-1 in penalty kicks ... Therese Petersson leads the way, as she has scored 26 goals and dished out six assists for 58 points ... Sofia Hoflin has scored 19 goals and had eight assists for 46 points ... Amanda Roche has appeared in 21 games this season in goal for the Purple Knights ... She has stopped 125 shots and sports a 1.29 goals against average ... She also has a .822 save percentage. The Last Time We Met: Bridgeport holds a 2-0 win over the Eagles this season ... The teams met in the Connecticut Cup, featuring each of the four NCAA Division II Teams in the State of Connecticut ... Hoflin scored the first goal of the contest at the 14:25 mark of the contest ... But Post had two good looks at the goal, as Krug was able to break free of the defense and riffled a shot that went just past the goalkeeper ... Krug also had another scoring chance, as she fired a shot that the goalkeeper stopped, but the rebound came out to freshman Julie Persico who controlled it and sent a shot that was wide of the goal ... Bridgeport tallied the second goal of the contest at the 36:38 mark, when Hoflin's shot from the 18-yard mark went right at the Post goalkeeper, who misjudged the play and went right over the hands of the goalkeeper and into the back of the goal. the championship match or the third place match on Sunday ...
