Women's SoccerWomen's Soccer Hosts Caldwell In Final Regular Season Home Game October 17, 2006 WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University women's soccer team will host Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) foe Caldwell College, in the 2006 regular season home finale, on Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. at LaMoy Field. The Eagles enter Wednesday's contest with an 8-6-2 overall record and a 6-2 mark in the CACC. The Eagles appear to have an inside shot at hosting a game in the CACC Championships which begin next Monday. Caldwell enters Wednesday's match with a 7-10 overall record and a 4-5 mark in the CACC. Post is coming off a 1-0 double overtime win over Philadelphia University, last Saturday afternoon. It snapped Philadelphia's 19-game CACC unbeaten streak; as it entered the conference last season. Freshman Kelli Veras (Trumbull, Conn./Trumbull) who headed in the game-winning goal was named the CACC Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. She leads the conference in assists per game (0.67), and leads the team in scoring with five goals and 10 assists for 20 points. Junior Maria Krug (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) is second on the team in scoring with eight goals and three assists for 19 points. Caldwell comes to town after falling to Molloy College 8-1 on Monday afternoon. Kristee Paknis leads the team in scoring with seven goals and three assists for 17 points. Victoria Aguilera is second on the team with seven goals and one assist for 15 points. Following the match with Caldwell, the Eagles will conclude the
regular season with a CACC match on the road at Wilmington on
Friday afternoon. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. in New Castle, Del.
