Women's BasketballWomen's Basketball Announces 2007-08 Schedule August 10, 2007 WATERBURY, Conn.-Post University women's basketball Head Coach Todd McEvoy announced the 2007-08 schedule for the Eagles, this afternoon. The Eagles reached the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Championships for the second time in as many years, under McEvoy, who is entering his third season at the helm of the program. Post opens the season on Thursday, Nov. 15 at Merrimack College, last season, Merrimack edged the Eagles 77-76 in the second-round of the Valley Cup Classic hosted by UMass.-Lowell. The Eagles will play its home opener against New York Tech on Tuesday; Nov. 20. The team will play 11 of its 25 games in the friendly confines of the Drubner Center. Post will play 17 CACC contests this year, with the addition of Chestnut Hill College to the conference this season. The CACC will be split into two divisions North and South. Teams from each division will face each other in home-and-home series, while crossing over to play teams in the other division just one. The Eagles are in the North division and will be grouped with Bloomfield, Caldwell, Dominican, Felician, and Nyack. The CACC slate begins on Saturday, Dec. 1 with a road contest at Nyack College. The first home conference tilt of the season is a week later against University of the Sciences at the Drubner Center. The CACC Women's Basketball Championship will be held March 1-8
at campus sites. The first-round contests will take place on
Saturday, March 1 at the site of the highest seed, and the
semi-finals will take place on Wednesday, March 5 at the highest
seed. The Championship game will take place on Saturday, March 8 at
the highest seed.
