Women's BasketballWomen's Basketball Picked Fifth In CACC North Division November 9, 2007 NEW HAVEN, Conn.-The Post University women's basketball team was picked to finish fifth in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division, as the CACC unveiled its Preseason Coaches' Poll on Friday. Post which finished 9-19 overall and 9-13 in the CACC last year, have a new look this season, with a new coach, Tracey Garofalo, and seven newcomers to the roster. The Eagles received 27 points, in the poll voted on by the 13 head coaches in the conference. With the addition of Chestnut Hill to the conference, the CACC has been split into two divisions North and South. Each team will face each other at least once this season, with divisional opponents meeting in home-and-home series. Dominican College was picked to finish atop of the CACC North Division, earning 72 points and eight first place votes. Bloomfield College was second in the North with 70 points and five first place votes. Caldwell College rounded out the top-three with 51 points. Nyack was the fourth pick in the North with 31 points, just four points ahead of the Eagles. Felician College was the sixth pick in the North with 22 points. Holy Family University was the unanimous selection to win the South with 91 points and 13 first-place votes. Philadelphia was picked second with 67 points, and Wilmington was third with 63. USP was picked fourth with 62 points, and Georgian Court was fifth with 34 points, and was followed by Goldey-Beacom with 32 points and Chestnut Hill with 15 points. Post begins the 2007-08 season on the road Merrimack College on Thursday, Nov. 15. The home opener is slated for Tuesday, Nov. 20 against NYIT.
