After Laskowski broke a 5-5 tie, in the early stages of the game, with a three-pointer, the Eagles went on 12-4 run capped by a pair of free throws by senior Jackie Sutton (Dryden, N.Y./Tompkins Cortland C.C.) to take a 20-12 lead with 10:19 left until halftime.

A bucket by Jasmine Schinella halted the Eagle run, but on the next trip down the court, the Eagles found Coley for a trey, giving them their largest lead of the half at 23-14 at the 9:45 mark.

But, a 9-4 run by Dominican cut Post's lead to 27-23, thanks to a three-pointer by Kristen Tracey at the 6:06 mark. A few minutes later with the Eagles leading 31-26, following a freshman Jamie Martingano (North Windham, Conn./Windham) lay-up, Dominican would score the next four points, cutting the lead to 31-30 with 2:41 left until halftime. Post received a basket from Johnson, and Dominican came down and got an ole fashion three-point play from Kayla MacDonald knotting the game at 33-33 with 1:49 left in the half.

After a Coley three, and a pair of free throws by Rachelle Sainten, Rotio was fouled on a loose ball rebound and knotted the game for the sixth time in the half. Dominican took a 39-36 lead with 54 seconds left, but Post got a free throw from Sutton and a lay-up by Pitts to knot the game at 39-39, heading into the halftime break.

Post scored seven of the first nine points of the second half to take a 46-41 lead, after a lay-up by Johnson at the 18:15 mark. Then with the Eagles leading 50-46 after a pair of charity stripe tosses by Johnson, Dominican went on a massive 27-2 run to take a 75-54 lead with 4:18 left in the contest. Rotio had 13 points for Dominican in that run.

The Eagles return to the hardwood on Wednesday, February 13 for a CACC match up with Bloomfield College. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. at the Drubner Center. The game is also "Think Pink" Night, as both the men's and women's basketball teams will help raise awareness for the fight against Breast Cancer. Fans wearing an article of pink clothing will receive free admission, and S.A.A.C. will be collecting donations for the American Cancer Society.
