Goss Lifts Women's Basketball Past Georgian Court

LAKEWOOD, N.J.-Junior Stephanie Goss ole fashion three-point play with six seconds remaining, gave the Post University women's basketball team, a 52-49 victory over Georgian Court University, Saturday afternoon, at the Casino.

The Eagles have now won two in a row, to improve their record to 2-11 overall and 2-4 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Georgian Court has dropped five of its last six games to fall to 5-9 overall and 2-3 in CACC play.

With the score tied at 49-49, Goss broke the tie, and was fouled on the shot, and made the free throw to put the Eagles up 52-49. However, Georgian Court, had one last oppourtinity, as Lauren Staats three-pointer at the buzzer didn't drop, and the game ended.

Senior LaToya Coley, led all scorers with a game-high 14 points, while Goss added 11.

Post finishes a five-game intersession road trip at 2-3, and return to the Drubner Center on Thursday, Jan. 15 with a CACC tilt against Felician College. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.The game will be webcast on the Eagles Sports Network, as Joe Coss will have the call with the Nike Pre-game Show beginning at 6:45 p.m.
