Women's Basketball Falls To Goldey-Beacom 76-61

WATERBURY, Conn.-Cherrise Graham had 34 points to lead Goldey-Beacom to a 76-61 win over the Post University women's basketball team, Tuesday evening, in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game at the Drubner Center.

Graham shot 11-of-20 from the field, and was helped by 21 points on 10-of-20 shooting from Toni Jones, to help GBC to improve to 8-5 overall and 5-3 in the CACC. Meanwhile, the Eagles fall to 1-10 on the season and 1-5 in the CACC.

Post had a balanced scoring output, as senior Tadj Williams had a team-high 14 points on 3-of-7 shooting. LaToya Coley, Telisha Moultrie, and Marjorie Prado each added 12 points.

Prado recorded double figures for the sixth game in a row, while Coley netted four three-pointers on the evening.

The Eagles shot 43.8 percent (21-48) from the field, and 31.6 percent (6-19) from three-point range. At the free throw line, Post converted on 65 percent (13-20). GBC shot 44.6 percent from the floor, and 16.7 percent (2-12) from three-point range.

GBC held the edge on the boards, enjoying a 40-30 margin, and a 16-6 lead on the offensive glass. There was a combined 50 turnovers in the game (28 Post, 22 GBC).

Post returns to action on Thursday, as it heads to Wilmington College for a CACC contest. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
