Prado Garners Spot On CACC Honor Roll

NEW HAVEN, Conn.-Post University women's basketball senior Marjorie Prado has been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Honor Roll, as the CACC announced its weekly awards on Monday afternoon.

Prado helped the Eagles (8-16, 8-11 CACC) to a pair of wins over Caldwell (74-69) and Wilmington (64-58) last week. Post is riding a three-game winning streak heading into Tuesday's game at Bloomfield. The Eagles have also won five of their last seven games, and have moved into the eighth and final playoff spot in the CACC race.

Against Caldwell the senior guard, poured in 18 points, while shooting 7-of-13 from the field. She also had two blocks and seven steals in 32 minutes of action.

Last Saturday against Wilmington on senior day, Prado, led the Eagles with 21 points on 9-of-18 shooting. She also dished out three assists and recorded five steals in all but two minutes.

Entering the final week of the regular season, Prado leads the Eagles in scoring with 14.4 points per game and is second in the CACC in steals with 71.

Post returns to the hardwood on Tuesday with a makeup game, from last Tuesday, at Bloomfield. Post will then close out the regular season with road games at Dominican on Thursday, and Georgian Court on Saturday.
