Women's Basketball Defeats Nyack, 53-45

WATERBURY, Conn.-Senior Tadj Williams had 17 points, to help the Post University women's basketball team to a 53-45 win over Nyack College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game at the Drubner Center, Wednesday evening.

Williams led three Eagles (4-14, 4-9 CACC) in double digits, as senior Telisha Moultrie had 14 points, while junior LaToya Coley added 13.

Post shot 40.4 percent (19-47) from the field, including 45 percent (10-22) from the floor in the first half. From behind the three-point arc, the Eagles connected on 6-of-15 (40 percent) shots, and 56.3 percent (9-16) from the free throw line.

Diona Graham led Nyack (6-9, 4-8 CACC) with 11 points, while Kaarina Stearns added 10.

Nyack shot 29.1 percent (16-55) from the field, 16.7 percent (2-12) from three-point range, and 68.8 percent (11-16) from the foul line.

Each team controlled 36 rebounds, while Nyack enjoyed a 13-8 edge on the offensive glass.

Post returns to action on Saturday, as it hosts Philadelphia University in a CACC contest. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m.
