Women's BasketballDominican Defeats Women's Basketball, 90-71 January 22, 2007 WATERBURY, Conn.-Senior Tadj Williams had 19 points and 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season, as the Post University women's basketball team dropped a 90-71 decision to Dominican College, Monday evening at the Drubner Center. Williams led four Eagles (3-14, 3-9 CACC) in double-digits scoring, connected on 11-of-12 shooting from the free throw line. Senior Telisha Moultrie added 18 points shooting 5-of-8 from the field, while controlling seven caroms. Junior LaToya Coley had 14 points on three treys, while junior Jennifer Rose chipped in with 10 points. Dominican (11-6, 7-5 CACC) also had four scorers in double figures, as Adele Laskowski had 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Dana Rotio and Jackie Spitaleri each added 15 points, while Althea Chambers came off the bench to score 12. Dominican connected on 50 percent (32-64) of its shots from the field, and 45.5 percent (5-11)) from three-point land. At the charity stripe the Chargers sank 21-of-26 (80.8 percent) attempts. Post also shot the ball well shooting 41.9 percent (18-43) from the field, and 46.8 percent (6-13) from three-point range. As a team, the Eagles made 29-of-37 (78.4 percent) of their free throw attempts. Both teams grabbed 33 rebounds, while Dominican held a 15-11 edge on the offensive glass. The Chargers forced the Eagles into 26 turnovers in the game. Post returns to action on Wednesday evening, as Nyack College
comes to the Drubner Center for a Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference (CACC) contest. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
