Women's BasketballWomen's Basketball Readies For First Home Game Since Nov. 30 January 8, 2007 WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University women's basketball team returns to the Drubner Center, for the first time since defeating Felician College, 69-56 on November 30. The Eagles enter the game with a 1-9 overall record and a 1-4 mark in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), after suffering a tough 71-53 loss to USP on Saturday. Goldey-Beacom is 7-5 overall and 4-3 in the CACC, after beating Nyack College, last time out. Senior Stephanie Goss led the Eagles with 15 points on Saturday at USP. Goss who is leading the CACC in field goal percentage with a 55.1 percent mark, connected on 7-of-11 from the field and also controlling four rebounds. Senior Marjorie Prado notched double figures for the fifth game in a row with 13 points. Senior Tadj Williams leads the team in both scoring and rebounding with 12.9 points per game, and 7.2 caroms per contest. Prado is right behind with 12.3 points per game. Junior LaToya Coley is the third Eagle averaging double figures with 10.1 points per game. Post is scoring 68.4 points per game, and is second in the conference in three-point field goals per game with 6.30. Post is shooting 37.5 percent (242-645), and 30.0 percent (63-210) from three-point range. The Eagles are grabbing 39.3 rebounds per game. GBC has won three of its last four games, entering Tuesday clash with the Eagles. Cherrise Graham had a breakout game, lighting up Nyack for 39 points and nine rebounds. She is leading the team in scoring with 22.4 points per game. Toni Jones is chipping in with 17.2 ppg, and Kim Rowley is scoring 11.9 ppg. GBC is scoring 71.3 points per game, and shooting 40.7 percent (313-769) from the field. From three-point range, GBC is shooting at a 27.5 percent (36-131) clip. It is also pulling down 38.0 rebounds per contest. The teams split the season-series last year, as Post won 86-81 at the Drubner Center, and GBC won on its home court 69-68. Post travels to Wilmington College on Thursday evening, and
returns home on Saturday afternoon for a CACC tilt with Georgian
Court. Tip-off on Saturday is slated for 1 p.m.
