Williams Lauded By CACC For Third Time In A Row

NEW HAVEN, Conn.-Senior Tadj Williams was chosen to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-CACC first-team, as the selections which were voted on by the conference coaches were announced by the CACC on Thursday afternoon.

It was the third time in a row, that the senior has been a first-team All-CACC selection. She earned it as a sophomore in 2004, and as a junior in 2005, in addition to her most recent selection this afternoon.

Ann Casado of Georgian Court, Kristin Goede of Philadelphia, Emily Krauss of Philadelphia, Molly Malone of Philadelphia, Ursula Pereira of Bloomfield, and Claire Tauschek of USP join Williams on the first-team.

Casado was named the Player of the Year, while Pereira was tabbed the Rookie of the Year, and Mark Magarity of Philadelphia was chosen Coach of the Year.

Once again, Williams led the way for the Eagle offense, as she posted a team-high 375 kills, and had an average of 4.63 kills per game. She also led the team in hitting percentage with a .283 mark.

With matches played through Sunday, Williams was third in the conference in hitting percentage, and second in kills. She was second on the team in total blocks with 50, but led the Eagles with 31 solo blocks on the season.

Post finished the season with a 12-17 overall record and an 8-8 mark in the CACC, earning a spot in the CACC Championships, yet again.
