Women's Basketball Beats Felician, 81-67 On The Road January 30, 2007 RUTHERFORD, N.J.-Senior Marjorie Prado had a game-high 23 points to lead four Post University women's basketball players in double-digits, in an 81-67 win over Felician College Tuesday evening at Job Gym. Post improves to 5-15 overall and 5-10 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), while Felicain falls to 1-22 overall and 0-15 in CACC action. Post opened the game with a 12-2 that was capped by a three-pointer from junior LaToya Coley at the 14:05 mark of the first half. A three-pointer from Felician's Laurin Brown made it 12-5, before the Eagles went on a 9-2 spurt to go up by 21-7. The Eagles kept the pressure on, extending their lead to 32-15 at the 4:45 mark, after a Prado three-pointer. However, Felician went on a 15-2 run, to cut the Eagle lead to 34-30 with 1:13 left until halftime. The Golden Falcons, finished the half on a 19-6 run over the last 4:45 of the first half, and went into the locker room trailing 38-34. Post opened the second stanza with a 17-4 run, after Prado knocked down a trey at the 8:56 mark, to take a 55-38 lead. Prado had the last seven points in that spurt for the Eagles. Senior Tadj Williams had 18 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles, while Coley had 15 points, and four three-pointers. Senior Telisha Moultrie added 10 points on 3-of-6 shooting. Brown and Diane Burns had 17 points for Felician. The Eagles had a solid shooting night, connecting on 53.1 percent (26-49) from the field, including 14-of-23 (60.9%) in the second half. Post shot 47.8 percent (11-23) from three-point range, and 85.7 percent (18-21) from the free throw line. Felician shot 38.5 percent (25-65) from the field, 32.3 percent (10-31) from three-point range, and 46.7 percent (7-15) from the free throw line. Post controlled the boards, 35-33, but Felician had a 15-7 margin on the offensive glass. The Eagles return home on Saturday, as USP comes to the Drubner
Center for a CACC contest. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m.
