Smith Tabbed CACC Player Of The Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn.-Junior Kerry Smith was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball Player of the Week, after helping the Eagles to three wins last week.

For the week, Smith averaged 4.55 kills per game and 4.27 digs a game.

On Monday, in a 3-2 win against Dominican, Smith recorded her second double-double of the season, leading the Eagles with 24 kills and 15 digs. Against Caldwell she recorded 15 kills and nine digs in a 3-0 sweep against the Cougars.   

Smith finished the week out with 11 kills and 23 digs in a 3-0 win on the road at Goldey-Beacom.

Last week, Smith eclipsed the 700-kill and 1,000-dig plateaus in her collegiate career. The outside hitter from Lynbrook, N.Y. leads the team with 122 kills and 121 digs.

Post returns to the court on Tuesday afternoon, as it travels to Nyack College, for a CACC clash.
