VolleyballDucharme, Loving Lead Volleyball To Third Straight Win September 22, 2007 WILMINGTON, Del.-Senior Vicky Ducharme and freshman Natasha Loving each had 13 kills, to lead the Post University women's volleyball team to a 3-0 (30-20, 31-29, 30-24) win over Goldey-Beacom College on Saturday afternoon at the Jones Center. With the win, the Eagles improve to 3-8 overall and 3-0 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), while GBC falls to 1-10 overall and 0-2 in the CACC. The Eagles had three players with double-digit kill totals, as junior Kerry Smith recorded 11 kills. She led all players with 23 digs, as the Eagles had 75 in the match. Senior Desere Obregon notched 40 assists on the afternoon. Post had five players in double-digit digs, as senior Michelle Stotz had 14, Loving added 12, Obregon had 11, and Ducharme had 11. Ducharme now needs nine digs to reach the 1,000-dig plateau in her collegiate career. GBC was led by Kendra Russell who had 11 kills, Jillian Murphy had 23 assists, and Christine Huddock had 20 digs. Post had 45 kills, 44 assists, 75 digs, and five total blocks, while GBC had 32 kills, 27 assists, 65 digs and six total blocks. The Eagles will return to the court, as they will travel to
Nyack College on Tuesday evening for a CACC North clash. The match
is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
