Volleyball Falls To Georgian Court, 3-0

PHILADELPHIA-The Post University volleyball team fell to Georgian Court University 3-0 on Friday evening in the semifinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball Championships, at Bobby Morgan Arena, on the campus of University of the Sciences.

GCU (29-8) won by winning the first game 30-16, then taking the second game 30-18, and winning the third and final game 30-14.

Junior Kerry Smith led the Eagles (9-24) with eight kills, while senior Desere Obregon had 15 assists and six digs. Freshman Natasha Loving had three kills and five digs.

GCU was led by Ann Casado who had 13 kills and five digs. Heather Walker had 30 assists, and Billeny Rivera added 10 digs.

The loss ends the Eagles season, while the win propels GCU into the championship match on Saturday afternoon. GCU will face Holy Family University which defeated Bloomfield College 3-0 in the other semifinal match.
