With the win, the Eagles (9-23, 8-9 CACC), the number-two seed in the North Division, advance to the semifinals on Friday against the number-one seed in the South Division, Georgian Court University, at University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Smith led the Eagles with 12 kills, as she entered the match needing eight, to reach the 1,000-kill plateau. She becomes the latest member of the 1,000-kill and 1,000-dig club at Post, as she recorded her 1,000th dig against East Stroudsburg in September. The Lynbrook, N.Y. native, has 1,004 kills and 1,327 digs after this evening's match, and was one dig shy of her 11th double-double of the season with nine. On Monday, she was named to the second-team All-CACC squad, for the first time in her career. Senior Vicky Ducharme recorded her fifth double-double of the season, as she had 10 kills and 12 digs. She needs two more digs for 1,200 in her career. Senior Desere Obregon had 36 assists and 10 digs for her eighth double-double of the season for the Eagles. Senior Michelle Stotz had 16 digs to lead the Eagles in the match. Wendy Paige led Nyack (9-16, 8-9 CACC) with nine kills, while Tara Leegwater had 24 assists, and Colleen Weidman had a match-high 19 digs for the Warriors. Post had 39 kills, 37 assists, 12 service aces, 51 digs, and four total blocks, while Nyack had 29 kills, 26 assists, two service aces, and four total blocks. The Eagles are making their seventh consecutive appearance in the CACC Tournament, and reach the semifinals for the first time since the 2004 season, when they reached the championship match falling to Wilmington College 3-1. Georgian Court won 3-0 (30-19, 30-22, 30-21) in the only other meeting this season on September 29 at home. The CACC semifinals will begin with the Eagles and Georgian Court at 6 p.m. at the Bobby Morgan Arena on the USP campus. The second semifinal will feature the number-one seed in the North Bloomfield, which defeated Felician College 3-0 on Tuesday, and the number three-seed in the South Holy Family which knocked off the number-two seed in the South Philadelphia 3-2 on Tuesday.
