VolleyballVolleyball Falls On The Road To Bloomfield, 3-1 November 1, 2007 BLOOMFIELD, N.J.-Junior Kerry Smith had 17 kills and a match-high 21 digs for the Post University women's volleyball team, fell to Bloomfield College 3-1 (30-17, 30-23, 27-30, 30-28) Thursday evening on the road. Senior Vicky Ducharme and freshman Natasha Loving each had nine kills for the Eagles. Senior Desere Obregon had 31 assists and 12 digs for a double-double. Senior Michelle Stotz also had 12 digs for the Eagles. Post finished the match with 45 kills, 42 assists, 12 service aces, 64 digs, and seven total blocks on the evening. Bloomfield's Ursula Pereira had 18 kills and 13 digs, while Sonia Perez had 33 assists and 10 digs, and Brunna Coutinho and Nilmara Zanette each had 16 digs. Post will close out the regular season at home on Saturday afternoon, as it hosts USP and Bryant in a tri-match at the Drubner Center. Before the USP match, the Eagles will honor the class of 2008 in senior day ceremonies. The Eagles will also prepare for the Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference (CACC) Championships, and will either be the number-two
seed in the North or the number-three seed, depending on the
outcome of this evening's Nyack-Felician match, and the final day
of the regular season on Saturday.
