NEW HAVEN, Conn.-Junior Kerry Smith was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Volleyball Honor Roll, after averaging 3.78 kills and 3.78 digs in three matches last week.

Smith had 12 kills and 12 digs in a 3-0 (30-11, 30-21, 30-20) win over Chestnut Hill last Saturday afternoon. It was the seventh double-double of the season for the junior from Lynbrook, N.Y.

She had 12 kills and 13 digs against Bloomfield on October 3, and 10 kills and nine digs against Stonehill on October 1.

For the season, Smith leads the team with 199 kills (3.49 per game) and 202 digs (3.54 per game).

The Eagles return to action at home on Thursday evening, with the second meeting of the season against Nyack College. Nyack defeated the Eagles 3-2 (30-27, 30-27, 28-30, 28-30, 12-15) on September 25. Both teams are currently tied for second place in the CACC North with identical 5-3 records. Bloomfield leads the North Division with a 6-2 record.
