VolleyballVolleyball Falls To Mercy, 3-0 October 23, 2007 WATERBURY, Conn.-Diana Bruzzone and Mariola St. Fleur each had double-digit kill outings, as Mercy College defeated the Post University women's volleyball team, 3-0 (30-25, 30-22, 30-14), Tuesday evening in a match at the Drubner Center. Bruzzone led all players with 13 kills, while St. Fleur chipped in with 11, as the Mavericks improve to 8-15 on the season, while the Eagles fall to 7-18 overall. Post was led by senior Telisha Moultrie who had nine kills and a block solo on the evening. Sophomore Nicole Gizzi had five kills, for the Eagles. Senior Desere Obregon had 20 assists, and junior Kerry Smith led Post with nine kills. Seniors Vicky Ducharme and Michelle Stotz each had six digs. Trevene Smith had 38 assists for Mercy and Bruzzone had 12 digs for the double-double. Post returns to the court on Thursday evening, as they travel to Caldwell College for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match. It will be the second match of the season between the two
schools as the Eagles defeated the Cougars 3-0 (30-16, 30-20,
30-26) on September 20 at the Drubner Center. The match is slated
to begin at 7 p.m. at the Newman Center.
