VolleyballVolleyball Drops Pair Of Matches To Wilmington, Stonehill October 20, 2007 WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University women's volleyball team, dropped a pair of matches on Saturday afternoon, at the Drubner Center against Wilmington College and Stonehill College. The Eagles fell to Wilmington 3-0 (30-20, 30-25, 30-16) in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match, and Stonehill 3-0 (30-26, 30-27, 30-28) in a non-conference match. The losses, drops the Eagles to 7-17 overall, and 7-5 in CACC play. Wilmington Freshman Natasha Loving had eight kills and Kerry Smith had seven kills to lead the Eagle offense. Senior Vicky Ducharme added five kills and 11 digs. Senior Desere Obregon, who recorded her 2,000th assist last time out at Dominican, dished out 26 helpers against the Wildcats on Saturday. Senior Michelle Stotz led the Eagles with 13 digs. Post recorded 28 kills, 27 assists, eight service aces, and 42 digs in the match. Wilmington had 31 kills, 29 assists, 13 service aces, 50 digs, and nine total blocks on the afternoon. Stonehill The Eagles had three players in double-digit kill totals, as Loving led the way with 14 kills. Smith and Ducharme each added 10, as Post recorded 47 in the three games. Obregon had a match-high 40 assists for the Eagles. Smith also led the Eagles with 14 digs, to notch her eighth double-double of the season. Ducharme also recorded a double-double for the Eagles with 13 digs. It was the second double of the season for the senior from New Hampshire. Post finished the match with 47 kills, 44 assists, 12 service aces, and 49 digs. Stonehill had 38 kills, 35 assists, seven service aces, and 52 digs. The Eagles return to the court on Tuesday evening, as it
welcomes Mercy College to the Drubner Center for a non-conference
match. It is slated to begin at 7 p.m.
