Volleyball Sweeps Felician, 3-0

WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University women's volleyball team, behind 17 kills from junior Kerry Smith, defeated Felician College 3-0 (30-23, 30-22, 30-27), in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match, Tuesday evening at the Drubner Center.

With the win, the Eagles improve to 7-14 overall and 7-3 in the CACC. Felician falls to 3-17 overall and 3-7 in CACC play.

Smith recorded double-digit kill totals for the 12th time this season, as the Eagles had a pair of players in double figures. Freshman Natasha Loving added 12 kills. It was the seventh time this season, that the freshman from the Bronx recorded 10 or more kills in a match.

Senior Desere Obregon dished out 42 assists for the Eagles. The New Jersey native needs only 19 assists to reach the 2,000-asist plateau in her career. Following today's match, she has 1,981 career assists.

Senior Vicky Ducharme had seven kills, and nine digs for the Eagles.

Post finished the match with 47 kills, 43 assists, 11 service aces, 27 digs, and one total block, while Felician had 29 kills, 26 assists, two service aces, 38 digs, and three total blocks.

Felician was led by Keisha Milstrey who had 15 kills, while Nicole Degenhardt had 24 assists, and Erica Moore had 13 digs.

The Eagles are back in action on Thursday evening, as they travel to Dominican College for the second meeting of the season with the Chargers. Post won the first meeting of the season on September 18, 3-2 (20-30, 26-30, 30-27, 30-21, 15-8) at the Drubner Center.
