Bloomfield Sweeps Volleyball On Tuesday Evening, 3-0

WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University volleyball team dropped a 0-3 (21-30, 18-30, 17-30) decision to Bloomfield College in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match at the Drubner Center Tuesday evening.

The Eagles (6-15, 5-7 CACC) were led by senior Tadj Williams who had a team-high 11 kills. Freshman Haleema Linares added seven kills for the Eagle offense.

Freshman Gabrielle Hopkins dished out 22 assists and recorded four digs, while sophomore Michelle Stotz led Post with eight digs.

Bloomfield (10-5, 10-2 CACC) was led by Ursula Pereira who had a match-high 13 kills. Nilmara Zanette had eight kills. Sonia Perez had 33 assists, and Pereita led the way with 10 digs.

The Eagles were edged in kills, as Bloomfield had a 40-27 margin, and finished the match recording 44 digs, while Post registered only 28.

Post travels to CACC foe Felician, on Thursday evening, before returning to the Drubner Center for a CACC clash with Georgian Court on Saturday at 1 p.m.
