Volleyball Sweeps Felician, 3-0

WATERBURY, Conn.-Senior Tadj Williams (Albany, N.Y./Bishop Maginn) led three Post University volleyball players in double-digit kill totals, in a 3-0 (30-17, 30-17, 30-28) win over Felician College on Wednesday evening at the Drubner Center.

Williams, had a solid hitting outing for the Eagles (3-8, 3-2 CACC), as she recorded 17 kills, and four errors, in 32 chances, for a .406 hitting percentage.

Freshman Haleema Linares (Miami, Fla./Braddock) registered 11 kills, and one error, in 20 chances for a .500 hitting percentage on the evening.

Sophomore Kerry Smith (Lynbrook, N.Y./Lynbrook) recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 13 digs. It was the sixth time in the last seven matches, that she has recorded a double-double.

Freshman Gabrielle Hopkins (Yonkers, N.Y./Marble Hill) tied a career-high for assists with 40. She also dished out 40 helpers on September 12 against Dominican College.

Sophomore Michelle Stotz (Naugatuck, Conn./Naugatuck) recorded 14 digs, extending her double-digit dig streak to seven.

LaKeisha Milstrey led Felician (2-6, 1-4 CACC) with six kills, while Laura Peskosky had nine digs.

Post returns to action on Saturday as it hosts Holy Family and Concordia in a tri-match beginning at 1 p.m.
