Volleyball Releases Fall Slate

June 29, 2007

WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University volleyball team announced its 2007 season schedule this afternoon. The Eagles will play 16 matches at the friendly confines of the Drubner Center.

Post opens the season with a two-match home stand against Southern New Hampshire on August 29 and Franklin Pierce on August 31. The Eagles will play three of their first five matches of the season at home, in which they won eight matches a year ago.

Following the first two matches of the season, Post will travel to UMass.-Lowell for a tri-match with the RiverHawks and Concordia on September 1, before returning to the Drubner Center on September 5 for a non-conference match with Queens College.

The Eagles open the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) portion of their schedule on September 18, as Dominican College pays a visit to the Drubner Center.

The CACC slate looks a little different this season, with the addition of Chestnut Hill College. The conference will be divided into two divisions, North and South, and teams will play other members of their divisions, in home and away series, while crossing over to play the other division just once.

Last season, the Eagles qualified for the CACC Championships, with an 8-8 conference mark. Post finished the regular season winning five matches in a row, and six of its last seven matches before the playoffs began.
