Dominican Upends Volleyball, 3-0

BLAUVELT, N.Y.-The Post University volleyball team dropped a 0-3 (28-30, 29-31, 19-30) decision to Dominican College Monday evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match at the Hennessy Center.

In the first game, the host Chargers won by a score of 30-28, and took a thrilling second game 31-29, before closing the match with a 30-19 win in game three.

Post (4-13, 4-5 CACC) was led by senior Tadj Williams who led all players, with a match-high 21 kills. Sophomore Kerri Smith notched yet another double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs, and freshman Nicole Gizzi who had eight kills.

Freshman Gabrielle Hopkins dished out 36 assists, and sophomore Michelle Stotz led all players with 17 digs.

Dominican (3-13, 3-6 CACC) was led by Kinika Collier who had 15 kills and 11 digs in the match, while Kaitlin Earl dished out 33 assists.

Post returns to action on Wednesday, as it host Nyack in a CACC match at the Drubner Center.
