VolleyballVolleyball Falls In Tri-Match Against Holy Family and Concordia, on Saturday September 23, 2006 WATERBURY, Conn.--The Post University volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on Saturday at the Drubner Center. In the first match of the day, the Eagles fell 2-3 (30-24, 30-24, 16-30, 29-31, 12-15) to Holy Family, and in the finale, fell 1-3 (30-22, 27-30, 22-30, 24-30) to Concordia. Post falls to 3-10 overall and 3-3 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). In the first match of the day, senior Tadji Williams had 24 kills, while sophomore Kerry Smith had 17 kills and 20 digs. Junior Vicky Ducharme also recorded a double double, as she had 11 kills and 10 digs. Freshman Nicole Gizzi had 10 kill, and freshman Gabrielle Hopkins had a career-high 50 assists, and 11 digs for her first career double-double. Sophomore Michelle Stotz had 18 digs. In the nightcap, Smith recorded another double-double as she had 10 kills and 10 digs. Williams led the way for the Eagles with 16 kills. Stotz finished the evening with 20 digs, which extends her double-digit dig streak to nine matches. Hopkins dished out 31 assists. Post hits the road for a pair of matches, as it heads to
Caldwell on September 26, and Stonehill on September 28. The Eagles
return to the Drubner Center on September 30 against Goldey-Beacom.
