SoftballSoftball Opens 2008 Season In Florida March 5, 2008 WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University softball team begins the 2008 season on Sunday, March 9 with a doubleheader against St. Thomas Aquinas, in Fort Pierce, Fla. It will also be the first game for Head Coach Tracey Garofalo, as she begins her first season as the Eagle mentor, after graduating from Post in 2003. The Eagles return 13 players from a team that reached the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships a year ago. During its trip to the "Sunshine State," the Eagles are slated to play 10 games in five days. First pitch for the St. Thomas Aquinas twinbill is slated for 5 p.m. The Eagles will then square off with Millersville University on Monday, March 10 at 6 p.m. in a doubleheader. On Tuesday, March 11, the Eagles will travel to Melbourne, Fla. for a non-conference twinbill against Florida Tech. first pitch is set for 2 p.m. Post returns to Fort Pierce, Fla. on Wednesday, March 12 for a pair of games with Concord University. First pitch is slated for 10 a.m. The Eagles will conclude their trip to Florida with a doubleheader against Nyack College. The twinbill with the Warriors will be non-conference games, as the teams will meet in conference action on Wednesday, April 2 at LaMoy Field. When the Eagles return from Florida, they are slated for face
head to the University of Bridgeport on Wednesday, March 19.
