Softball Wins First Game Of CACC Championships

LAKEWOOD, N.J.-The number-four seed Post University softball team defeated the number-five seed Bloomfield College, 2-1 in the opening round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Softball Championships at Georgian Court University, Thursday afternoon.

With the score tied 1-1, senior Megan Pappas blasted her fifth homerun of the season to give the Eagles the lead for good.

The Eagles dropped the second game of the afternoon to the top-seed Georgian Court, 3-1.

The Eagles will look to stay alive in the CACC Tournament with a win against Felician College on Friday morning at 11 a.m. A win against Felician, and the Eagles would face the number-three seed Wilmington at 3 p.m. on Friday.
