Waterbury, CT-The Post University softball team swept the Wildcats of Wilmington College, 1-0 and 7-3 in a pair of Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference softball games played at La Moy Field on Senior Day.  Seniors Crista Holtom (Waterloo, Ontario) and Erin McKenna (Beverly, MA) were honored in a ceremony in between the games of the doubleheader.

In the first game, Wilmington remained hitless until the fourth inning when the first two Wildcat batters recorded hits.  Post pitcher Megan Pappas (Chester, NY) worked out of the jam and kept the game scoreless.  The Eagles took the lead in the bottom of the frame when Jackie Davis (Lyndhurst, NJ) singled home Allison Williams (Montgomery, NY).  Pappas struck out seven and allowed only three hits in tossing the complete-game shutout.

The nightcap was less of a pitchers dual.  Wilmington took a 3-0 lead in the first, but a crucial Wildcat error extended Post's half of the inning. Desere Obregon (Bogata, NJ) took full advantage with a two-RBI double and after the first the game was tied at three.

Michelle Stotz (Naugatuck, CT) knocked home the go-ahead run in the fourth and the Eagles would push the lead to 7-3 thanks to a pair of RBI doubles from Shannon Firetto (Vernon, CT) and Caitlin McAveney (Shohola, PA).  Lagares, Obregon, and Williams all had two hits in game two.  Holtom tossed a six-hitter and struck out five.

Post finished the season at 20-28 and 11-11 in the CACC.
