WATERBURY, CT-The Post University Eagles' softball team split with the Felician Golden Falcons (ranked 8th in the Northeast Region), winning the opener, 2-1, but dropping the nightcap, 1-0, in nine innings.

The Eagles scored two early runs in game one thanks to some creative baserunning.  The Eagles stole five bases in the contest.  Vanessa Lagares (Meriden, CT) stole two bases and had two hits.  Junior hurler Megan Pappas (Chester, NY) allowed eight hits in garnering her fifth win of the season.

In the nightcap the Eagles lost a heartbreaker.  Crista Holtom tossed a three-hitter, but the Eagles could only manage five hits of their own.  Michelle Stotz (Naugatuck, CT) had two hits.  All of the Eagles 10 hits in the two games were singles.

Post (18-26, 9-9 CACC) needs to win their final four games to have a significant chance at making the CACC Playoffs.  The team will be at Goldey-Beacom Thursday at 3:00 pm.
