Men's TennisMen's Tennis Opens Season On Saturday March 27, 2008 WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University men's tennis team commences the 2008 season this weekend with a dual match at Connecticut College on Saturday, March 29. The Eagles begin their third season of intercollegiate competition, under first-year Head Coach JR Fredette, who took over the men's and women's tennis program in the fall. The Eagles will take to the courts with a nine-member roster that includes junior Michael Aeschliman and Dan Nadal. In addition, seniors Yoshinori Ito and Shintaro Saito return to the fold as will for the Eagles this season. Senior Patrick Meyer rounds out the veteran lineup for the Eagles. Four newcomers will make their collegiate debuts for the Eagles this season, as sophomore Tyrone Napper, senior Mike Cavallo, junior James Lee, and junior Omar Robinson add to the lineup. Following the first match of the season against Connecticut College, the Eagles will travel to Albertus Magnus on Tuesday, April 1, and will open the home portion of the schedule on Thursday, April 3 against Chestnut Hill. Post will travel to Chestnut Hill on April 5, and hit the road to face USP (April 6), Mitchell (April 9), St. Thomas Aquinas (April 14), and Philadelphia University (April 19). The Eagles will close out the season against at home against
Mitchell College on Sunday, April 20, then travel to Caldwell
College on April 22, and wrap up the season at home against
Bloomfield on April 25.
