Men's Soccer
Ted Haley begins his third season as the head coach of the Post University men's soccer program. In just two short seasons, Haley has guided the Eagles to success, as the program finished the season ranked 10th in the NSCAA/adidas New England Region Poll. The 2006 squad, finished the season with a 9-7-5 overall record and a 4-1-3 mark in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Post won nine of its 11 matches at home last season, and at one point were unbeaten in 11 of 13 matches. The Eagles also finished the year, unbeaten in 12 of their last 18 matches. Haley also guided two players to All-CACC honors in 2006, as Kafoumba Cisse and Maurice Johnson earned honorable mention and All-CACC first-team honors respectively. The Eagles reached the CACC Championship match, defeating Felician College 2-1 in overtime, in the opening round of the tournament, and then defeated Wilmington College, 1-0 to reach the CACC Championship match, before falling 1-0, to Dominican College, who were two-time defending champions. In 2005, Haley guided the Eagles to the CACC Championships, in just his first season at the helm of the program. Post was 8-10 overall and 3-5 in the CACC, and led the Eagles to a 6-4 record at LaMoy Field. Haley came to Post University, after spending six years as head boy's soccer coach and Director of Athletics at the Dublin School in Dublin, New Hampshire. He began his playing career at the University of Connecticut, where he was a freshman starter. He also has played for Coastal Carolina and the College of Charleston. He was a three-time Trans-Atlantic All-Conference selection, and in his last three years of college, he was a part of three straight trips to the NCAA championships. After his collegiate playing days, Haley drafted by the Buffalo Blizzard of the National Professional Soccer League. However, he latched onto the A-League, which is a feeder league to Major League Soccer. He played for Hampton Roads, a minor league affiliate of DC United of the MLS. He also played with the Connecticut Wolves, the Worchester Wildfire and the New Hampshire Phantoms. Haley graduated from the College of Charleston in 1997 with a degree in physical education. He currently resides in Milford, Conn. with his wife. Assistant Coaches: Don Anderson begins his third season as an assistant coach for Head Coach Ted Haley. Anderson is responsible for the goalkeepers, and has helped transform the men's soccer program at Post University. This past season, his goalkeepers finished the season in the NCAA Division II statistical rankings. The Eagles finished the year, ranked 35th in NCAA Division II in goals against average with a 1.03 rating, and 17th in the nation, with a .822 save percentage. In addition, Dan Nadel was 19th in the country with an .822 save percentage and 40th in save with 83 in 17 games. In his first season with the Eagles, the team had a 1.44 goals against average. Anderson currently resides in Milford, Conn.
