Men's SoccerMen's Soccer Falls To No. 22 Bridgeport, 6-2 September 20, 2007 BRIDGEPORT, Conn.-Freshman Frantzy Noze tallied his second goal of the season, and senior Pat Meyer notched his first of the season, as the Post University men's soccer team, fell to the University of Bridgeport, 6-2, on Thursday afternoon at Knights Field. The loss drops the Eagles to 1-7 on the season, while Bridgeport improves to 4-2-2 on the year. Blaise Nije and Habib Sylla each had two goals on the afternoon for Bridgeport, which is ranked 22nd in the NCAA Division II. Meyer, scored the third goal of his career off a penalty kick in the 83rd minute, while Noze netted his second goal in the last three contests, as he recorded his first collegiate goal on September 15 against Stonehill, in the Merrimack Tournament. Juniors Dan Nadel and Michael Aeschliman each made two saves, while splitting time in goal for the Eagles. Bridgeport's Ryan Brooks-Newton played the majority of time in net, stopping two shots, while Milos Suljagic stopped three shots. Bridgeport out shot the Eagles 26-10, and held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks. Post will look to rebound on Saturday, as they welcome Chestnut
Hill College, to LaMoy Field for a Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference (CACC) match up. The game will kickoff at 1 p.m., a
switch from the original schedule.
