Holy Family Edges Men's Soccer, 1-0

PHILADELPHIA-Holy Family's goal with time running out in the first half, proved to be the only goal of the afternoon, as the Tigers defeated the Post University men's soccer team 1-0, on Saturday afternoon at the Campus Center Field.

Post falls to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC).

Sean Kientzy scored at the 44:18 mark, off a feed from Ed Szumbelak.

Sophomore Johan Pineda and freshman Frantzy Noze each had three shots for the Eagles, while senior Raleigh Woodburn, senior Alex Brito, and sophomore Eurica Trowers each had a pair.

Senior Marco Gaspar had seven saves for the Eagles, while Holy Family's Pat Becker had six

The Eagles outshot Holy Family 13-10 including a 7-3 edge in the second half. Post had five shots that hit the crossbar in the match. Holy Family did hold a 7-5 edge in corner kicks. Each team was whistled for an offsides call.

Post returns home on Tuesday afternoon, for a non-conference matchup with the University of New Haven. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. at LaMoy Field.
