Trowers Garners CACC Honorable Mention

September 4, 2007

NEW HAVEN, Conn.-Sophomore Eurica Trowers (Bronx, N.Y./Clinton) was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's soccer honorable mention, as the conference announced its weekly awards on Tuesday afternoon.

Trowers, who made his 2007 debut, in fine fashion with a pair of goals in a 3-2 loss, last Saturday afternoon.

The 5-foot-9 forward scored his first goal of the season in the 33rd minute when sophomore Johan Pineda fired a shot on goal that was deflected by a Molloy defender and the ball found the foot of Trowers, who booted it into the back of the goal to knot the game at 1-1.

He added his second goal of the afternoon almost two minutes later with a breakaway down the right side of the field.

Post returns to the pitch on Saturday afternoon, as it begins the CACC portion of its schedule at Holy Family University. The Eagles return to LaMoy Field on Tuesday, Sept. 11 as in-state rival the University of New Haven comes to town for a 4 p.m. start.
