Men's SoccerNo. 5 Men's Soccer Heads To No. 4 Holy Family In CACC Championships October 28, 2007 WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University men's soccer team will make its fourth straight appearance in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships on Monday afternoon, as it travels to Holy Family University, for a CACC opening round match up. The Eagles are the number-five seed in the tournament, after finishing the regular season with a 4-13-1 overall record and a 3-5-1 mark against the CACC. Holy Family is the number-four seed in the field, after a 12-7-1 regular season, and a 6-3 record against the CACC. Kickoff for Monday's match is slated for 2 p.m. The winner of Monday's match will face the number-one seed Dominican College, on Wednesday, Oct. 31 at Felician College and Tyron Field in Rutherford, N.J., at 11 a.m. In addition to the Post-Holy Family match, Caldwell hosts Bloomfield College on Monday, with the winner of that match squaring off against the number-two seed Wilmington College at 1 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. The CACC Championship match is slated for Saturday, Nov. 3 at 6:30 p.m. at Tyron Field. Post enters the CACC Championships led by sophomore Eurica Trowers who is fourth in the conference in scoring with 13 goals for 26 points. Senior Raleigh Woodburn is second on the team in scoring with two goals and five assists for nine points. Freshman Frantzy Noze has a pair of goals and an assist for five points. The Eagles will face a potent Holy Family offense that leads the CACC in scoring with 119 points, with 44 goals and 31 assists. Steve Kientzy leads the Tigers with 10 goals and an assist for 21 points. Jim Latronica has scored eight goals and four assists for 20 points, and Ed Szambelak has notched four goals and 10 assists for 18 points. In the regular season, Holy Family edged the Eagles 1-0, on September 8 at home. Kientzy scored the game's only goal at the 44:18 mark in the first CACC contest for both schools. Post out shot the Tigers 13-10 in the game, and a 7-3 edge in the second half. Senior Marco Gaspar had seven saves in goal for the Eagles and Pat Becker had six for Holy Family.
