Trowers Records 12th Goal Of Season, As Men's Soccer Falls To Assumption

WORCESTER, Mass.-Sophomore Eurica Trowers recorded his 12th goal of the season, as the Post University men's soccer team, dropped a 4-1 decision to Assumption College, on Wednesday evening on the road.

Trowers took a feed from freshman Frantzy Noze, and ripped a shot from 18 yards out to the right corner of the goal, in the 64th minute to cut the Assumption lead to 2-1. It was the 14th career goal for the sophomore from the Bronx.

Senior Chris Ouellette made two saves in net for the Eagles, and was lifted for freshman Sean McCarthy who made three in close to 21 minutes of action.

Assumption held a 17-8 margin in shots, and a slight 5-4 edge in corner kicks.

The loss drops the Eagles to 4-13 overall, while Assumption improves to 6-9-3 overall.

The Eagles will close out the regular season on Friday afternoon, with a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match at Bloomfield College. The match was originally slated for October 11, but was postponed due to thunderstorms during warm-ups. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m.
