Men's Soccer Falls To Wilmington College, 3-0

WATERBURY, Conn.-Wilmington College defeated the Post University men's soccer team in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match at LaMoy Field, on Saturday afternoon.

Wilmington improves to 11-5-1 overall and 7-1-1 in CACC play, while the Eagles fall to 4-12 overall and 3-5 in the CACC.

Wilson Barlee put Wilmington on the board with one second remaining in the first half, with a shot from 30 yards out, and passed the hands of the Post keeper, junior Chris Ouellette.

Barlee was a part of the scoring of Wilmington's second goal of the afternoon, as he fed Jose Coronado with a cross, and Coronado was able to head it home, giving the Wildcats a 2-0 lead with about 34 minutes to play.

Dave Dease closed the books on the scoring with a shot off a corner kick with 24 minutes left in the contest.

Ouellette made three saves for the Eagles in net, while Dan Mangat stopped two shots for Wilmington.

Post travels to Assumption College on Wednesday, Oct. 24 for a non-conference match and Bloomfield College on Friday, Oct. 26 for the final CACC match of the season. The Bloomfield match, was rescheduled from the October 11 match, which was rained out.
