Men's SoccerMen's Soccer Hosts Mercy College In Home Regular Season Finale October 17, 2006 WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University men's soccer team will host Mercy College on Thursday, Oct. 19 in the regular season finale at LaMoy Field. The match, was originally slated for the beginning of the season, was moved to Thursday due to a schedule change. The Eagles, wrapped up the number-three seed in the upcoming Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Soccer Championships with a 4-1-2 conference mark, and a 3-0-2 mark in conference play at home. Mercy enters the match with a 5-5-1 overall record. With a home CACC Championship date already in hand, the Eagle will look to prepare to make a run at a conference championship. Post is unbeaten in its last seven matches, going 4-0-3 in that span. Junior Maurice Johnson leads the team in scoring with six goals and three assists for 15 points. Sophomore Daniel Martins is second on the team with four goals and two assists for 10 points. Sophomore Dan Nadel has made 76 saves on the season and has recorded a 1.02 goals against average and a .835 save percentage. Alexander Augusto, who despite playing in only seven games this season, has scored four goals and one assist for nine points to lead the Flyers. Nizar Chahbani is second on the team in scoring with two goals and four assists for eight points. Carl Spence and Nicholas Evans have split time in goal for the Flyers this season. Evans is 6-4 on the season with 14 saves and a .778 save percentage. Spence is 9-4 on the season with 42 saves and a .808 save percentage. Post will conclude the regular season on Saturday morning as
they face the University of New Haven in a non-conference match at
11 a.m. in New Haven. The pairings for the CACC Men's Soccer
Championships will be announced this weekend.
