Men's SoccerMen's Soccer Ties Wilmington On The Road, 1-1 October 14, 2006 NEW CASTLE, Del.-The Post University men's soccer team extended its unbeaten streak to seven matches with a 1-1 tie to Wilmington College at the Kirkwood Soccer Complex Saturday afternoon. The Eagles (7-4-5, 4-1-3 CACC) have gone 4-0-3 since the inception of the streak and currently sit in third place in the CACC standings with 15 points. Wilmington is second in the conference with 17 points, with a 5-1-2 record in conference play. Post scored the first goal of the contest, two minutes into the second half, as junior Maurice Johnson (Bronx, N.Y./Bryant & Stratton) scored his seventh goal of the season for the Eagles, off a feed by senior Kafoumba Cisse (Abidjan, Ivory Coast/Gateway C.C.), which was his first helper of the season. Wilmington (10-4-3, 5-1-2 CACC) knotted the score at 1-1, in the 76th minute as Sean Reilly found the back of the net off a pass from Joe Galasso. Post goalkeeper sophomore Dan Nadel (Farmington, Conn./Farmington) played the entire way and made five saves in goal for the Eagles. Nadel came up with a few big saves late in the contest to preserve the tie for the Eagles. Wilmington keeper Dan Mangat notched eight saves. The Eagles enjoyed a 19-14 edge in shots, while Wilmington had a 13-8 advantage in corner kicks. The Eagles finished the conference portion of their schedule this afternoon, and appear to have locked up a home game for the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Championships that begin on Tuesday, Oct. 24. Post will conclude the regular season with a pair of non-conference matches, which was postponed from earlier in the season. The Eagles will host Mercy College on Thursday, Oct. 19, for a 3 p.m. kickoff. Saturday, the Eagles will travel to the University of New Haven,
for an 11 a.m. kickoff in New Haven, Conn.
