With the win, the Eagles improve to 4-4-2 on the season, while Stonehill falls to 5-6. Post opened the scoring at the 33:31 mark, when Sabastian who set up on the left side of the Stonehill end, found the foot of junior Maurice Johnson (Bronx, N.Y./Bryant & Stratton), for his fourth goal of the season. The Eagles added the second goal of the day in the 39th minute as Sabastian netted an unassisted goal, which was his first of the season, to give Post a 2-0 lead. The Skyhawks cut the deficit in half, with a header by Richard Carvalho. Stonehill peppered seven shots against Post goalkeeper sophomore Dan Nadel (Farmington, Conn./Farmington) who finished the match with seven saves, including four in the first half. Stonehill outshot the Eagles, 16-11, but Post held a 7-3 edge in corner kicks. The Eagles return home for the first time since September 14, on
Saturday, as they host Goldey-Beacom for a Central Atlantic
Collegiate Conference (CACC) match at LaMoy Field. Kickoff is
slated for 3 p.m., following the Post women's match against
Goldey-Beacom at 1 p.m.
