Men's Basketball Returns To Drubner Center On Tuesday

WATERBURY, Conn.-The Post University men's basketball team returns to the Drubner Center for the first time since a victory over University of the Sciences on December 8, against Felician College on Tuesday, Jan. 15. Tip-off is slated for 8 p.m. following the Post-Felician women's game at 6 p.m.

Post is 7-7 overall and sit atop the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North Division with a 4-1 record. Felician is 6-8 overall and 1-4 in conference play. The two teams met on January 10, with the Eagles coming out with an 88-83 win.

The Eagles Sports Network will carry the game live on the internet at http://www.posteagles.com/. Joe Coss (play-by-play) will have all the action beginning with the Nike Pre-game Show following the completion of the women's game.

In the January 10, meeting junior forward AJ Reitter (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) recorded a career-high 42 points, including 32 in the second half. Reitter, who also had 10 rebounds, was named the CACC Player of the Week on Monday for his efforts in that game. The career-high also tied a Northeast Region high, and was the highest offensive output in the conference this season.

Reitter is fifth in the CACC in scoring with 16.9 points per game, he is also fifth in blocks (1.21 per game), and sixth in three-pointers (27).

Last time out, Reitter led three Eagles in double-digits, as senior forward Peter Lawal (Uniondale, N.Y./Uniondale) recorded double-digits for the seventh time in the last nine games with 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting. Senior swingman Arthur Robertson (Far Rockaway, N.Y./Beach Channel) notched his third double-double in a row with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Robertson is second on the team in scoring and sixth in the CACC with 16.2 points per game. He is also sixth in the CACC in rebounding with 7.8 caroms per contest. Lawal is the third leading scorer for the Eagles and is 24th in the conference with 11.4 ppg. Lawal enters Tuesday's game 10th in the conference with 7.1 rpg.

As a team, the Eagles are fourth in the CACC in scoring defense, allowing 69.0 points per game. Post is also fourth in the CACC in field goal percentage defense with a 41.9 rating.

Felician enters the game averaging 74.6 points per game, which is good for fourth in the conference, and has three players averaging double figures. Devon Young leads the team and is third in the conference with 17.3 ppg. Jason Romer is second on the team with 13.1 ppg, and James Harper is third on the team with 11.5 ppg. Harper also leads the team with 7.4 caroms per game.

Felician is getting out rebounded 39.0 to 35.3, and is forcing teams into 19.0 turnovers per contest.

Post finished a tough inter-session seven-game road trip at 3-4, and will return to the Drubner Center, where it has won 15 of its last 16 games since the start of last season.

The Eagles return to the hardwood on Saturday, as they welcome Chestnut Hill for the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
