Men's BasketballMen's Basketball Tripped Up By Concordia December 18, 2007 BRIDGEPORT, Conn.-Senior forward Peter Lawal (Uniondale, N.Y./Uniondale) recorded his third consecutive double-double with a team-high 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Post University men's basketball team in a 78-72 loss against Concordia College, in the first-round of the ECAC Division II Holiday Classic at the University of Bridgeport's Harvey Hubble Gym, Tuesday evening. The loss snaps the Eagles (4-4, 2-0 CACC) three-game winning streak, as Post was playing for the first time after a 10-day break for exams. Concordia College has won four games in a row to even its record at 4-4. Lawal, had 16 points in the first half, connected on 6-of-11 from the field, and sank 9-of-10 from the charity stripe. Four of his rebounds came on the offensive glass. The Eagles (4-4, 2-0 CACC) had three scorers in double figures, led by Lawal. Junior forward AJ Reitter (Baltimore, Md./Franklin) chipped in with 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting. He also netted three three-pointers, grabbing seven rebounds, and had two blocks and two assists in 36 minutes. Senior forward Omar Robinson (Brooklyn, N.Y./Carnise) added 13 points on 5-of-13 shooting Concordia was led by Richard Fields who had a game-high 28 points on 7-of-14 shooting, to lead three Clippers in double digits. Kenny Gaskins chipped in with 15 points, while Sean Walker added 13. The Clippers connected on 66.7 percent (14-21) from the field in the second half, finishing the evening connecting on a 54.8 percent (23-42) clip. Concordia went to the free throw line, an amazing 43 times, converting 30 attempts (69.8 percent). The Eagles converted 35.7 percent (25-70) from the field, but did enjoy a slight 38-37 margin on the glass, and a commanding 18-7 edge on the offensive boards. The Eagles also forced the Clippers into 26 turnovers. The Eagles will close out the Holiday Classic on Wednesday evening against the host Purple Knights, who lost to St. Anselm 75-71 in Tuesday's other contest. The game will be web cast on the Eagles Sports Network, with the Nike Pre-game Show at 6:35 p.m. Notes: Tonight's game was the third time the
